Did you know that 3,000,000 Australians are living with anxiety or depression?
Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44? Approximately 200 Australians attempt suicide every day and of those, on average, eight will die.
Given such tragic statistics the iconic Great Western Hotel is delighted to be helping by hosting the Black Dog Ball for 2019 to be held on Saturday, October 12.
The Black Dog Ball is annual event that coincides with Mental Health Week, staged to raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellbeing, and remove the stigma associated with mental illness and depression across the Central Queensland community.
Together . . . we can make a difference.
